本次觀課活動將觀摩由東南亞語文學系黎氏仁助理教授所授之全英語課程《東南亞經濟概論 An Introduction to Southeast Asian Economies》。課程內容聚焦於東南亞地區的經濟發展脈絡與區域特色，透過全英語授課的方式，引導學生進行思辨、問答及小組討論。此課程為 EMI（English as a Medium of Instruction）教學的實際範例，將為參與教師提供難得的觀摩機會，了解如何以英語詮釋專業內容並引導課堂互動。觀課過程中，專家將進入教室實地觀察教學內容與師生互動情形，並於會後提供回饋與建議。

本次觀課專家陣容堅強，包括 ETI 英語教師訓練與企業英語教學專家 Jenna Cody，以及臺北醫學大學華語中心主任黃湘玲助理教授，將從語言運用、教學設計與跨文化溝通等面向，協助教師精進 EMI 教學能力。活動目前開放 2 位校內教師名額，歡迎對 EMI 教學有興趣的老師報名參與，藉此汲取跨文化教學與專業英語授課的實務經驗，進一步強化教學專業。

【Abstract】

This classroom observation event features the EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) course An Introduction to Southeast Asian Economies, taught by Dr. LE Thi-Nham, Assistant Professor in the Department of Southeast Asian Languages and Cultures at National Chengchi University. The course delves into the economic development trajectories and regional characteristics of Southeast Asia, providing participants with a valuable opportunity to observe EMI instruction in practice. Attendees will witness how the instructor delivers content entirely in English, facilitates student engagement through discussions and Q&A sessions, and guides group activities.​

The observation process includes in-class visits by experts who will assess the teaching content and classroom interactions. The expert panel comprises Ms. Jenna Cody, teacher trainer at English Total Immersion (ETI) and corporate training, and Assistant Professor Hsiang-Ling Ophelia Huang, Director of Chinese Language Center at Taipei Medical University. They will offer insights on language use, instructional design, and intercultural communication to support instructors in enhancing their EMI teaching practices.

The event is currently open to two teachers from NCCU. We warmly welcome educators interested in EMI instruction to register and gain practical experience in cross-cultural and content-based English teaching, thereby advancing their professional development.
