On April 24, 2025, the EMI Resource Center at National Chengchi University (NCCU) hosted its second “EMI Resource Center Writing Tools Workshop” of the semester, once again offering faculty and students a hands-on opportunity to explore powerful AI-assisted writing tools. Led by writing consultant Yu-Che Yen, with support from fellow consultants Gina Jin and Martin Ng, the workshop focused on four key tools—Writefull, Rubriq, Linggle Read, and Linggle Write—each designed to help improve vocabulary use, grammar accuracy, structural clarity, and overall readability in academic writing.

Participants brought their own English writing drafts and got hands-on experience with each tool. They attended live demonstrations, practiced real-time operations, and fully immersed themselves in exploring how AI and corpus-based tools can enhance their writing. The event emphasized high interactivity and practical application, with participants actively asking questions, engaging in live practice, and exchanging feedback with each other throughout the session.

Following the enthusiastic response to the first workshop held in March, this second session further deepened the campus community’s understanding and application of AI-powered writing support. The EMI Resource Center is committed to continuing its efforts to enhance academic English proficiency and will roll out more themed workshops and resources in the future to help faculty and students tackle academic writing challenges and strengthen their ability to communicate on the global stage.
